i think you have a pretty decent shot. maybe work on your standing vertical jump and your fade away shot, maybe show off you ball handling skills during the interview and you'll be good to go!

yeah, 17 inch vertical isn't very good, but maybe you could play point guard or something. if you wanted a good excuse you could tell the adcom's that when you went to have your vertical tested at the prometrics center it was really noisey and the ceiling was too low to jump any higher, otherwise you would've jumped like 50 or 60 inches. that's the reason my vertical was really low and most adcom's seem to believe me.
