hey,

not to get too negative or cynical, but getting use to waiting is a key part of staying cool while applying to medical school.

talk to anybody who has applied a few times, or even to a lot of people who have been accepted and they will tell you about the waiting game.

unfortunately there is the extra time that amcas has caused this year, but after that there is the time after turning in secondaries, once you find out you have an interview there will most likely be a month or so before that comes up, and then a lot of schools say that after interviews you won't here from them for 6-8 weeks. (of course this varies, but who knows how it will go for each applicant? those adcoms haven't gotten down the stream-lined-let-everybody-know-what-is-up-with-their-status-in-a-short-time thing yet)

this process is a pain and i just suggest getting ready for the long haul. it is very possible that a lot of us won't know if where in or not until next summer. so just keep that in mind before you start letting yourself get too stressed now.

again, some folks will know right away, but for the large majority of applicants . . .

. . . the fun is just begining . . . 😎

do they have like three chimps doing all the work?

Chimps would probably do a better job and faster too - hands for feet man! (lucky little guys)

Yeah, I can relate to the waiting game, I was on 6 waitlists and didn't get in until mid July! I am now an MSI (or M'05) at Tufts so it all worked out. hang in there!
