Depends what part of Alaska. I'm in Anchorage now, so it's light from around 10am to 3:30pm. Above the arctic circle, it's pretty dark for around two months (though unlike what they show in the movie 30 Days of Night, the sun doesn't just set and not come up for a month...it slowly gets lower and lower on the horizon.)

I'm only here for a week, so the short days are fine...in fact, if feels like your days are longer since you always think it's later than it is!

It is a simple football throw with the children, the CheerioKings mom was in the other room. As you can tell from the videos my boys love it. They get to 'fly' like superman. I am actually not tossing them very far, but I thought the camera angle made it look pretty good.
