Whichever the current status on AADSAS is, such as Received/Under Review, Received/Application Complete, etc., there will be a note that says something like "Check back on December 2" in the next few weeks.
On Dec. 2, those without interview invites will get Application Denied message for that school, and it is highly unlikely to remain the same as before. This is what I've gathered from reading up on previous threads and asking people.

All right, UoP. The time for fun and games has passed. Clock is ticking. I'll take that interview invite now please.
 
Not for every school - only a handful do this, at least in my experience. The others will just email you a rejection and update your portal the following day.

The OP is clearly fear mongering. Just calling it out for what it is for those that are reacting. This application cycle is stressful to all us. Please don't falsely accuse people for no other reason than to appease your own worries.

His sources are from "gathering up threads and talking to people." The only person that wants to create conflict here is yourself. Congratulations, you're failing at it. I hope UoP gives you that invite, I think. 😉 With your sense of immaturity and lack of professionalism, there's no wonder why some schools aren't giving you invites. It shows.

Is this the same person making both posts? The first quote suggests someone who is looking for sensitivity to individuals' applications. The second quote suggests otherwise.

..Really? I haven't heard anything like this lol. I have heard plenty of people getting interviews in January and February and getting accepted weeks later though.

This is untrue.
Different schools change the status using different approaches. Some may say under review or application complete for a while, even after they've offered an interview or even a rejection.
Not every school says check back December. Don't forget there are still post December interviews.
