Doesn't it feel so good to finally be at the place to apply this year!? :biglove: I feel I've been working on this goal for so long. It's been a rough 3 years for me (moreso in my personal life than b/c of school - but it's been tough nonetheless!) And it just feels so good to have the prereqs, PCAT, ECs, and pharm experience to apply this year!

This is my mushy post for the day. Share the love! :highfive:

I am totally with you there! I feel like I have been working towards this for what seems like agesss now. As stressful as applying is, it's kind of exciting too haha. I just hope we see some love from our schools and it'll be the first and last time applying :luck:
 
EHHHHHHHH!!! 😀 I e-submitted today! SO EXCITED! I am gonna finish up my supplemental app this week! woooo! good luck everyone!
 
If you guys are applying to UIC/Chicago State/Midwestern, let me know! I did interviews for them and will be happy to share my insight

This forum has helped me a lot during the past 2 years so it only feels right to give back. Maybe I should donate to get a nice shiny tag.......... 🙂

Are you referring to Midwestern in Chicago or Glendale? If Glendale, I'd love some insight!

You can ask the girls from Arizona about Glendale. (But not yourself of course :laugh:)

I'd assume Chicago since he grouped the three schools together.
 
YES! Just e-submitted my application and took the PCAT. what a relief! Now we just gotta play the waiting game

Sorry, Chicago unfortunately. Are the Midwestern schools in Downers Grove and Glendale sister schools? If so, perhaps their application process is very similar...

Yes, they are. You've never seen the Glendale campus info on their website?? But I do think their application processes are similar. I don't believe the Downers Grove program is 3 years though.
 
Hey, anyone whos GPA has been calculated recently, when did they mail your application? How long after did it take?

After they calculate your GPA, they send out applications every Monday. Next Monday may be an exception due to the holiday.

I kind of had a question about this. My GPA was calculated on the 26th and so I thought that they would have sent it out this week (30th) but it still hasn't been mailed 😕 Anyone in the same boat or know anything about it?
 
sharing the love!!! my real stress isn't over yet since my acceptance is based solely on my gpa. I'll have a pretty good idea of whether I made it or not after I see my grades from the fall semester. eee!

That's strange. I know after my GPA was calculated and everything was in, they sent me a message saying everything was complete and it was going to be sent in the next mailing. Did you receive this message? If not, something may be missing, and I would call them ASAP to find out...

Yep, I got an e-mail letting me know that everything was verified..

"This is an automated notification regarding your PharmCAS application. Your application has now been Verified, and will be included in the next PharmCAS mailing to your designated pharmacy schools......"

I checked to see if everything was calculated and it is... I've paid for all my schools and they've taken it off my credit card so I'm wondering what the hold up was 🙁 I've e-mailed them about it but got no response back 😡 so now I'm not sure what to do lol. I guess call them? But they said e-mail is preferred so I thought that that would have been faster. Guess not 😕

It all depends on when the next batch gets sent out. I am not entirely sure of the dates the batches are mailed but at this time I would not worry too much about it. Give them about a week and then check back to see if they mailed it.

Yeah, I know they say email is preferred, but that's only because they don't want to have as many phone calls. Every time I have emailed, however, I get a slow response, and half the time my question isn't even answered. That's why I just call 🙂
Call them tomorrow! Because I know they had a mailing on 08/30, as some of my stuff was updated and sent out on that day.
