Hi all,
Just recieved an e-mail response from Ms.Miller. She said the letters with all the information have been sent out. She also said there will be #3 gold crown prep and #19 MO amalgam prep. They provide all the instruments, but you can bring your own if you want.
That's all I know for now. 🙂

Well as I understand total time is 3 hours that includes #19 MO preparation for Amalgam + #3 Full Gold Crown preparation + Waxing Exercise. So time is indeed limited.

Waxing exercise is NOT all about carving of the occlusal anatomy for the gold crown preparation in wax. This is a separate exercise from prepn of FVC. It could very well be carving of tooth in wax. I am sure not all of us are familiar with Gold Crown Preparation.

I have three Qs for you:

1) Did you get a letter from UC explaining tasks in Handskill rest?
2) Are you familiar with Gold Crown Preparation?
3) are you good in carving a tooth in wax?

If answers to last 2 Qs are yes, please post some tips on the forum. Anyone else reading this post is also welcome to post tips regarding above 2 things to help your feloow SDN-ers.

Colorado has 12 seats THIS YEAR about the selection to the school,as for the sake of interview they give " HANDS ON" just to cover up the part of interview there is no clinical evaluation of the clinical work unless ,they would like to see what you do with your hand
they dont expect YOU to do perfect mod they want part1 marks(top priority )+ ok good hands, so guys with top marks , STRONG determinATION and motivatION (WHICH THEY FIND FROM YOU DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS) have huge chance to get into this school .

how did u get this messege r u from colorado,or r u in the colorado university school of dentistry.coz there is no interview section begin yet.anyway hope ur idea is true .

talked to colorado too.i wonder if they r actually goin to call a 2nd batch for interview???somehow can't believe a word till i see it on paper.they have sent out formal letters after the 1st call.but somehow im still not on the list??a looot of doubts.too many unexplained things....anyone got better news??

That "stuff" was such a BS... The practical and the interview is the most important thing. They don't care too much about your scores, there are people in this year's class that had 82 in part I and got accepted. So all this "somebody said" is good for nothing most of the time.
