Any tips?
How were the interviews ? Anything to avoid?

For GW, close file sorta makes me nervous, what should I prepare for?
For EVMS, What's a good place to stay in Norfolk?

i'd especially like to know what types of ethics questions were asked. and oh yea, stress level??
thanks! i'll check the interview feedback too to see if there's any new ones..

There aren't any new ones.. except for an over enthusiastic one of EVMS, it was pretty informative and thorough but I'm weary of the over-enthusiast

I went to EVMS last Wed, and GW last thursday. I felt they both went well and really weren't too stressfull. My EVMS was 2v1 even though they said it would be 3v1. The facilities at GW are amazing, but I was bummed b/c we didn't get to see much of the hospital. I really like their new microscope-less labs and clinical skills center. I didn't have really high expectations going into EVMS and I was pleasantly surprised. The student interviewers said they recently renovated the anatomy labs so they weren't as dreary as expected. The facilities were pretty nice (brand new Cardiac Hospital). Students at both schools seemed really friendly and laid back. Oh, and both interview days were really small (less than 15 people at both!).

I'm going to EVMS tomorrow, so i'll let you know afterwards 👍

Update: Interview tomorrow, babies possibly being delivered day after tomorrow. Gonna be a busy week!

wow double congrats haemulon

Just got back from GW - definitely low stress - you'll do the fin aid info/tour stuff first and then you'll do interviews. One doctor and one student. Totally easy going and conversational - both of them really only asked one or two 'interview' type questions and the rest was just kind of filled in with conversation (but its important to note that I'm a talkative person - if you're not they may ask more specific questions). Nothing about ethics in either of them.

Had my EVMS interview today. I felt that the whole day went very well, even if there was a couple questions in my interview for which my answers were not exactly polished. Good luck to all of you fellow SDNers that I met there. It was great to talk with you all. :luck:

Glad to hear you had such a great day! Best of luck with the acceptance offer, and the arrival of the little one! My little one should be here in the month or so! We'll definitely have to get together for a cold one after that!

Thanks D-Man, I'm looking forward to it. We'll need it!
