He's great! I'm learning a lot from his lectures, it's all self paced, he has a free book you can download for reference and he has exams as well that you can download. So far this has been an amazing course (about 1/2 way through) though the meat of biochem that'll be emphasized in med school (hemoglobin, glycolysis, krebs, ect) comes later in Biochem 1 and in his next course biochem 2.

You can find tons of free courses online! Try edX or another site. I also heard that there is no point in trying to take courses before matriculating. Since there is so much information that you have to study for in med school, these classes will give you one day-one week's worth of head start before you're lost with everyone else. And it might not be worth the time and money to get a couple of days worth of head start. I was taking a free online anatomy course before and stopped after reading all those comments lol. If you do some more research on this, you'll find tons on why it's not worth it, especially if it's gonna cost you that much!

hmm thanks guys

so i guess it may not be worth the grand... but free courses may be good enough to just feel a little more confident

maybe find one of the Rapid Review Biochem books online, or find some Dr. Najeeb videos?

do u guys think the harvard edX or the free MIT online course for biochem is good prep for med school biochem?

the last day to sign up for the paid non credit course at harvard extension is today.... and I'm thinking of just using some free resources

Biochem is a hard course for some, but it's pretty low yield in gran scheme of things. There isn't too much biochem on board exams or in real life medicine.
