I am thinking about buying the audio osmosis CDs from Examkrackers. Has anyone used them? If so, are they useful? I haven't had my hard science classes in a year or two....do u think they will help? Do I have to buy the EK books to go with them?

Thanks for all those who give me some info...I am gearing up to study and kick some ass on the 2006 April MCAT....anyone else? Thanks again all.

I would definitely get both the Audio Osmosis and the EK books. I have used them so far and have been getting good results. However, I can only speak for the biology section so far. I raised my BS to a 10-11. I need to take a PS section once I am done with the physics and chem books.

Hey

I have bought all of the EK stuff and am considering the videos from mcat.com. So far i cant say enough good things about the audio osmosis. I also like the books and how they are laid out. While i am not taking the MCAT till next april or august, i have so far really enjoyed the chem section (inorganic) which i have always felt was my weakpoint.

I am looking forward to buying the CDs....

How can I study with the CDs? Are they organized in lectures? Do I need the text to follow along or is it ok if I just listen to them over and over again? Do you guys listen to them over and over again to get the concepts?

I hope I can raise my PS and BS...I do ok on verbal.

I hear they have some mysoginistic jokes and just overall bad humor...any other negative reports?

Hey

Yes they are organized by lecture. When i got them i ripped them and put the lectures in order on my MP3 player. I listen to it when i have to drive somewhere, goto the gym or sleep. There is no text to follow but they suggest you willg et the most out of it by taking notes.

I thought the jokes were lame but they do exactly what they were designed for, ease the listening. Chem is boring enough without a monotone lecturer.

I like them, no real complaints

The jokes and stuff are there for two main reasons. Hopefully, it will make them less boring and then maybe help the information stick in your head. 🙂

I used them and loved it. It pretty much goes in the same order as the books, so I would do the sections in the books, do the questions at the end of each lecture. Then, I would take a break and do something else. After clearing my mind, I would go back and listen to AO while going through the corresponding lectures in the books and looking at the diagrams. Hope this helps.

the ek audio osmosis is great, if you have the books it will be a reinforcer of the topics. do you know the exact date for the april mcat?

now whenever i have problems remembering e-withdrawing/e-donating on a benzene ring, i just think of "uncle hal" and the family at the dinner table 😛
