Thrombus concerns with supply-demand have some merit

Please, AMG medical students, stay away from this field. It's not worth it. If you don't like clinical medicine, there's plenty other fields to pick from that either don't deal with patients or are removed from the day to day grind of hospital medicine yet promise a secure, well-paid future. Radiology, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Ophthomology, ENT, IR, etc.
Not even dermpath?

The mods must think we’re all snowflakes who will be offended
by free speech. Unpopular speech these days has been removed
from its protected status in this era. We are all adults over here.
You know, sticks and stones...........
If only our elected officials and moderators had moderators-there is nothing moderate anymore-all this so called moderation has lead to less civility with true moderates chastised by both the left and right whose tactics i can not tell apart-political correctness glosses over a problem that can then not be truly explored---there is a big difference in a peace keeper and a peace maker

WOW! I just played “moderator” the way it should be. I just put this
poor soul on “ignore”. No need to ban free speech. Opinion of
the entire Mikesheree.

Canadian here, people owning guns is bat**** stupid IMO. Opinion of the entire country.

Not even dermpath?

You wanna go through 5 years of training to hope to get into the most competitive subspeciality? Lol doesn't seem worth it to me. Not everyone gets to be a dermpath. What if it doesn't work out? I would hate to limit my options.

How little do you enjoy your life to spend your retirement on a”student” doctor network?

As for guns, you gotta be blind to realize you’re mindlessly following the crowd. US is so backwards it’s unfortunate :/
Canada better be happy they have the US military to protect their country given the continuing weakening of their ARMED FORCES

Why is Thrombus shut out again? I see it is the same academic administrator that is suspending Thrombus. Shouldn't there be a "two person rule" for suspension, like for launching ICBMs? The administrator should need a concurrent down-vote to lock out a member, IMO. Thrombus serves an important purpose in this forum, and shutting him/her out diminishes what takes place here.

Nanny state, Speech is a dangerous thing and we can’t go offending anyone, any group or, God forbid, hurt anybody’s feelings! That academic administrator is here to protect us all from feeling slighted.

I can't speak for the moderator that did the deed or why. My 2c here, however, is that even if Thrombus' argument had some (if any) merit, his blanket statements on BIG ACADEMIA were mean-spirited and inflammatory (in addition to demonstrably false); his blanket rhetoric on steering potential residents away childish and irresponsible.

But that's just my opinion.
