Tie color for interviews

So, what color ties are the guys wearing to the interviews? Does it really matter as long as its not bright yellow? Does it have to be plain...or are stripes cool?

I don't want to wear a tie although everyone says I probably should. If I do decide to wear a tie it will be black with stupid random stripes cause it's the only one I have.

Wear yellow and show you have balls!

I had a dark red/gray/someother stuff with a white shirt and a dark gray suit. I looked good, which is saying something for me.

it depends. If your wearing a blue shirt, go with a nice blue tie, if your wearing a white shirt, anything from yellow to pink (as long as its plain) is going to be fine. Black shirt, black tie, white shirt black tie. Anything is really fine as long as its plain. The color doesn't really matter, the pattern is more important

I'm a fan of the Jerry Garcia ties... as long as the patterns aren't too over the top. It doesn't have to be plain. Yellow is fine.
