Time off spent with loved ones

obviously during high school one gets summers and during under grad even longer summers and winter and spring breaks and etc. I hear MS1 get summer off as well. It just wondering from there on does one get some breaks to see family and old friends? How does that compare to other fields and professions in terms of having time to see family and friends?

you make time for it, if its important enough to you. this applies to every profession - even if youre pushing 80-100hrs/week in the hospital you can make time for your family and friends.

But you have to work at it. There is no built in three weeks off or two month break. You have to want to make the effort to carve out quality time. So yes there is time for family and friends if you decide you want it.
