Time Spent Studying??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
There was a thread about this just a few days ago... I think a whole bunch of people may have responded to it, so I'd scroll back a little to find it! 🙂 Anyhow, I studied about 4.5 hours a day for 3 months. You just have to study smart. I don't think there is any reason to put in an outrageous amount of hours per day!

4.5 is a lot a day haha

Boy you ain't seen nothing if you think 4.5 hours is a lot.

In fact, 4.5 for 3 months might actually be "normal" in comparison to the 10-12 hour days for 1 month that some of us stick to.

I did 10 today, break for dinner, ate lunch while studying. You do what works for you.

About 2 months of studying casually. Anywhere from 8 a day if I had the time, to week long periods when I wouldn't crack in a book.

Then a week of like 8 hour days and the last 4 days was literally eat, sleep, study.

I got a 21/21/19

6-10 hour days, 9weeks
wake up at 9am, do a practice exam(reading, math, or PAT) head to the library(my college lib) by 12 and study till 3.
Eat lunch and socialize till 5.
Study until dinner time at 8pm (yes...brought my lunch and dinner to school everyday)
Review 9-10pm
Take bus 10bus home
SHOWER, BRUSH TEETH, MAKE SNACK/meal for nxt day 😀
Review 11-1am

On the days when I did practice exams, I did nothing else. Too burnt out. Went out and partied instead and reviewed my answers the nxt day.
Sometimes I'll socialize less (freaking out with other dat/mcaters hah), and get more done.
On the days that I shadowed, I wouldn't study as much.
On my friend's birthday....I didnt study as much.

On a calendar, you need to write out what you need to get done each day for the rest of the month, leaving 1-2weeks leeway. Include a day of break every 2 weeks too. That way, if you get behind (which I did all the time), you see your progress and adjust accordingly.

OVER a year on and off with study partners. Whenever we do meet up, we would study for about 5 hours. Then in the last 3 weeks, i did 6 to 10 hours a day.

I know it is a bit overkill, but I did very well.

A little over 1 month for 10 hours a day...slowed down a little in the last week or so.
