Time to finish Kaplan physical sciences

Hello. Has anyone had difficulty finishing Kaplan physical sciences part of FLs on time? How do you overcome this?

i was going to respond to your other thread but got sidetracked.

which Kaplan tests are you taking? if you have pdf or paper tests that are 77 questions each in ps and bs, they're copyright 2003 and they're called practice tests 6-11, the ps is wicked tough and probably not representative of the real thing. if that's not the case all i can suggest is try doing speed drills on topics you find difficult. good luck.

I have only done the section tests but the physical sciences are very calculation heavy and time consuming. Personally don't beat yourself up but just try to improve your speed on answering questions without being reckless.

Yes those are the tests I am currently doing.I am finding the physical sciences quite hard because there are alot of calculations which take alot of time to do so I rush through them and make stupid mistakes. I go over on PS by 10 minutes. Not sure whether I should switch to TPR FLs to check how I do on those.

Yeah they're not indicative at all. I found I was crazy rushed, like you, and made a lot of silly mistakes. There's a compounding effect in there- one, the fact that it's pretty hard and calc intensive, and two, that because you're rushed you don't have time to go back.

My schedule of practice exams for 3/23 ended up being compressed, so I'm taking the kaplan full length exams out of my lineup. Instead I'm still using the PS sections as drills to work on my calculation speed/pressure. That should help me on the real thing
