go to the website of almost any school, look at what qualities they look for in applicants, and make them your rec letter with examples from what you did in the dentist's office.

I had to write three out of the four that I asked for. My dentist and two professors. By the third letter, it became really hard to talk about myself in a different way lol. No idea how much they were changed once my evaluators got them.do a lot of dentists make the students to write their lor by themselves??
Mine did! Two of the dentist that i shadowed and, now work with made me write it.do a lot of dentists make the students to write their lor by themselves??

There is my school's LOR form. You can use it as an outline.

I googled random letters to get an idea of what to write, I found a lot of examples on there. You could start with your attitude at the place you shadowed at. Like, how positive your energy was ... ectMy dentist wants me to write my lor for me
Please help me! Could you let me know where I should start? He's an alumni of my top dental school. Should I mention anything in the letter about that?
Applying next cycle

I felt like I was cheating when I wrote 3 out 4 of mine. I talked to my brother who finished dental school in 1999. He said that he had to write most of his letters too. Good to know not much as changedSo much for waiving your right.....

I wish I could have done that haha but my committee literally made it impossibleI felt like I was cheating when I wrote 3 out 4 of mine. I talked to my brother who finished dental school in 1999. He said that he had to write most of his letters too. Good to know not much as changed![]()

I'd include the amount of hours you spent shadowing him in the LOR
Wow where did you people go to school? That is so unethicalI had to write three out of the four that I asked for. My dentist and two professors. By the third letter, it became really hard to talk about myself in a different way lol. No idea how much they were changed once my evaluators got them.

It's not like I sent in the final version with my eval's signature. For all I know, they could have deleted everything I wrote and wrote something totally differentWow where did you people go to school? That is so unethical

I know, right? Lol. My dentist wrote mine, but she allowed me to read it and I already felt guilty enough just getting a peek.

Time for us to play a game. It's called the red and blue pill game.
Red pill: Include that he is the alumni of (Dental school X), increases your chances to get into Dental school X, but decreases your chances of getting into other dental schools.
Blue pill: Don't include that, normal rec letter.
