Sweet. We all knew you could do it. 👍

For some reason they won't tell us our grade until Monday. Why it takes a week to grade 5 scantron tests I'll never know. As the time drags on I've become less and less confident but I guess I'll know for sure on Monday. :scared:

Stories like the cancer 'bleed for it' one actually make me think that I'm not cut out for med school because I know that if I found myself in a situation like that I'd absolutely bail, without even giving it a second thought. I'm not terribly dedicated to medicine (or anything else, for that matter). It's weird to go through life realizing that you're the kind of person that just doesn't really care that much.

Anyways, thanks for all your input guys.

Congrats on passing (with a pretty damn good score too!). 😎 Don't worry about not being extremely passionate/dedicated/etc to school and medicine. Lately I've adopted a rather blase attitude toward medicine and find myself questioning my motives on nearly a daily basis. So....you are not alone. The good thing about the field of medicine is that it is rather broad so you'll find something that fits your personality...or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Enjoy your last 2 weeks! 😱

nice! congrats, bud!

Yay! I knew you'd pass. 🙂

I was one of the 20 who said throw in the towel and I stick to that - but clearly you are meant to continue since you've overcome this hurdle. I hope you rediscover the reasons that you went into medicine and find in it the rewards you're seeking.

Nice job, homes. 👍

I was in a quite similar situation after my first year of med school. I too had to take the remediation exam for cell bio. I spent a month studying and was SOOOOOOO incredibly freaked out and scared of the "what if i dont pass" and have to do the whole year over, etc etc.
The advice given to me really was about having confidence in yourself. I mean a month of solid, hard core, real studying, doing something different and more than you did during the regular course, finding what you didnt understand and making sure to understand it this time around for at least some topics (not knowing everything perfect, you dont need to get a 100%, just pass!)

So, i pass this along to you. Do your best NOT to psych yourself out. Confidence in yourself that you made it this far, into medical school, thru everything else first year, your hard work this summer, you'll pass!!! Dont think about other stuff until that happens, and maybe if you think positive, it wont!
