hey guys i took my exam yesterday
well what happened that i didnt had enough time ,,maybe bec. i spend some time on d.a quest ,,by the end of the first half i had to answer about 40 quest in 18 minutes ( especially reading those case history ..) !!!!!!😳 which made it challenging time wise,,and the second half i spend a minute on each quest. readin it so quickly...

so my quest is had any one requested extra time ?? and how it happen! i mean what to do,,!!
pls need advice .......... will they give me extra time ?? lookin to hear from u..

how did ur exam go? how was the level of difficulty? did u have any repeats form asda?
which subject did u find the toughest?
u said that the time wasnt enough, so did u complete all ur questions...

anatomy/ histology ,micro/patho all from decks be sure to know ur decks very very good,, bio/physio was challengin thats what i felt maybe that was my experience not urs !!!
But what happend is that i lost some time in doin those d.a questions!!! and when i was done i felt i was wayyyyyy behind on other questions espcially CLINICAL CASES (patient senerio thing ) because i had to read the case history first to understand whats goin on,,when i came to answer them it was so so fast sometimesi barely had time to answer them ,,they wasnt hard ,, i ended up answering all quest ina very very short time due to time lost !!
according to repeated quest. i saw few of them ,,be sure to do the latest asda exams,,and be sure to do ur decks very good,very very good...any way ill apply to retake it though bec.ull never know !!!!!

I felt there was more than enough time actually. Make sure that before you click on 'START' button you should write down your Mneumonics and any other diagrams u use to answer DA questions, write down chronology table etc that will save you LOT OF TIME when the clock is ticking!!!!

i have a question.u said u will retake it. even without knowing ur result would u apply again??what will happen to ur score of the first attempt.I am asking all this coz i gave my exam on 12th dec.If i dont get my result by 28th what should I do?

yeah guys it is my first attepmt,,i would have been better if i didnt had that time problem !! because it killed me ,,,
toothfairy482 u were right,,, before clicking start i should have wrote down those chronology and others....at leat i know what to do next time...yea i guess at the end we learn from our mistakes,,,
i think that ill pass the exam,but with low score,,,well according to ur question anneistar yes u can apply to reatke the exam before 2010,,lets say i have a good score then i can call and cancell the retakin(the worst thing can happen u will loose the money ) but i think that iam gona retake it due to the reasin iu gave (time problem) i called the ada telling them,,they said they can provide extar time for disabilities,,i mean for people who prove there somthin wrong in their health ...so its not gona work for me (because iam HEALTHYyyyy 🙂 ) hehehehehehehe,,,,
anyway guys thank u all for ur kind words ,,and all i can say be sure to know ur decks very very good,,they r askin basic things....

yeah hammerd why not not,,my stategy now is learn from my mistakes thats what all i can say,
hey coluors99 well i already regesterd for the exam ,,called the ada they said u can still do it agian the yhavnt send the conformation because they told me that its gona be till thursday which is 2morrow,,,yes we can all write exam agian as long as u apply b4 2010....
well the kind of question got me stuck the ones about occlusion movments make sure u know those very good,,other quest in d.a wasnt hard,, just basic whats the shapes from occlusal,,and comparing teeth ...etc.....i mean its all in the decks

guys one more very important thing ,,,when studyin u need to know what the phrase is about the meaning not just memorizing the paragraph as is noooooo thats wrong u need to know whats goin on the idea behind it,example mechanism ....thats how they r asking questions,,my point u need to understand what ur readin,,bec. its all like a chain connected....any way now iam chillin takin a vacation in a while for a week then illl be bcak to studies hehehe...

other part of exam was ok,not really hard ,,,clinical quest. based on patient's senerio cases was ok,,again its all in decks and nbde first aid is the perfect book for pathology....iam kinda afriad,,but we shall see what its gona bring !!!

wana ask somthin ,,,its kinda far from nbde ,,does it help to be a permanent resident? for admission do they make it easier,,or the fees for univeristies is less ?..any ideas !!

really i can't get u completely bt as far as i know if u r a permanent resident u can apply in more universities than us like international dentists.
I don't know abt fee structures.

yess!!chicago has a university which is exclusively for permanent residents.....u will be eligible for that......

Hey Wadent, Really sorry to hear abt your timing issue. Dont worry be possitive and pray hard for good results!!! Thank you very much for your input on exams. I guess Buffalo, Newyork also concentrates mainly on GC holders. There are couplr of uni's lik Chicago and Buffalo.
