At what point is the best to take the step II CS...does it vary per person/school...can it be taken in the beginning, middle end of clinicals? Also, is waitint to finish clinicals better, have more experience, and thus more prepared for step II CS, or is it kind of like step I in that it is more related to your book prep/study work (obviously clinicals would help, but you get my idea...more "related" to your texbooks/questions as opposed to things you picked up in clinical rotations).

Study plan/schedle...opinions...follow steo I routines/schecules...reading/questions?

Thanks.

Soon CS is gonna be scored. You should wait till after that so you can show your stuff!!

hmm, thats interesting, thanks for the tip. Anyone know when this is coming about (or still a rumor)? Also, specifically, what would be the best order...CS then CK or vice versa? If anyone could also comment on the time frame (after you got your passing step 1 score), how long before most students usually take your CK? Just in the beginning stages and checking it out, but i'd imagine II CK builds upon what you did in step I (or is that not true). Thanks for help.

Also, should we be using a primary source like harrisons? Or using review books/first aid in conjunction w/rotations/questions...any ideas would be much appreciated.

realistically you should have all the skills you need after your medicine rotation. the order doesn't matter but there tends to be more of a delay getting CS scheduled. first aid is money. get that and a partner, go through the cases and you should have no issues. its all in FA
