Hey everyone,
I plan on applying this spring and I was wondering if I send out my application the first week of June, when is the earliest I should expect secondaries (if I'm lucky enough)? I've been researching the internet/ the sdn forums and it seems secondaries usually arrive around late July/early August.
The reason I ask is that I planned on studying abroad late June-late July, but I've decided to hold off if it'll get in the way of secondaries. Can anyone give me an estimate of the earliest time secondaries usually come? Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This cycle I had 7 by July 1 and the rest pretty much by mid July. Maybe one straggler after that. If you're app is in early you'll be getting them immediately.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your input. Does anyone else have advice? I really do want to study abroad...but not at the possible price of my future, you know?

When do interviews usually come up as well as acceptance results?

I heard some people having interviews in October and November if they did not use the EDP program. Then, in weeks or as long as 2 months, they would get admission decisions.

I interviewed September-November and got acceptances November-February. Interviews can happen as late as now and acceptances from the waitlist can occur late into the summer.

I think you'd be ok doing your secondaries in the beginning of August but I was a bit paranoid after unsuccessfully applying late the previous cycle (August-October).

Will you be completely unable to work on secondaries while you're abroad? If you could be working on essays while you're away and then turn them in as soon as you get back I think you'd be golden. Or you might be ok, as others have said, just waiting until you get back.

You can have interviews as early as late july early august even if you aren't EDP.
