Now that Step 1 will be pass/fail starting in 2022, I plan on taking Step 1 next summer after my OMS2 year during my dedicated study time. Is studying for COMLEX 1 and Step 1 at the same time reasonable? Can I take them within a week or two of each other? Is that a reasonable plan? How would you recommend beginning to study for both now?

Personally I would consider step 1 much harder than COMLEX 1, requiring lots of critical thinking; the wording of COMLEX is not good.

Study for USMLE and you may take them both in a week.

When you study for one, you're essentially studying for the other as well. You would take Step 1 first, then take 3 days to just study OMM material for the OMM questions on COMLEX

Study for Step 1 then cram the OMM for Level 1 for 2-4 days (depending on your confidence of OMM.)

Studying for Step 1 covers any/all studying for Level 1 (aside from OMM.)
