timing of the sub-i?

Hi all - I'm trying to plan out my fourth year and was just wondering when to do the medicine sub-i. is the grade from the med sub-i something that programs want to see? is it okay if you push it back later in the yr so you can get more derm electives in?

i would say very ok to do it toward end of 4th year, esp if you did great on core medicine and can get a good letter there.

I took the other path and it worked out well. Did it early 4th year and scored an outstanding letter. There are few rotations out there that allow you to shine as much as the Sub-I. I don't think the grade matters so much as the letter you garner

basing it on whether you think you will get a useful letter from it is not a bad idea.
