There are splash screens before each section:

What is the time limit on those screens?

There isn't an explicit one though I don't think anyone has really waited it out.. the test center staff will also tell you to start if you are taking too much time off and CAN deduct time from your test (happened to someone taking the MCAT when I was taking it 7/14).

I do know that the 'splash' screen is automatically entered too about a minute or two after your ten minute break expires.. I was a tad late going back in from my first break and the VR screen was already popped up.
