Tips on dental path

Well I'm going to ucsb for undergrad. Gonna be a biology major, any dentists have any tips and classes I should take. My first quarter I'm taking writing, astronomy, math. Any tips you guys have for me
 
histo, biochem, anatomy, phys, patho phys, genetics, micro, immunology etc.

get good grades and a good DAT score. you already knew the answer to this question.

thats a pretty hefty first quarter ha,

yeah your adviser should have all your classes planned out for you already, except your electives, just follow that thing and if you have any questions they are called your adviser for a reason

Dont hang out on DP too much. but then again my old neighbor and i did live on DP and are both in dental school.
You need to start off by taking Chem and Biology. the Chem department at UCSB is AMAZING.
 
Take all prescribed pre-reqs, keep your GPA as high as possible. Your bio electives should be those classes lotexigious already listed. Biochemistry for sure, a lot of people struggled with that course seeing the material for the first time in dental school. Take your free electives in the business school. I now realize that I should've taken my free electives in Marketing or Accounting rather than wasting time in Advanced German. However, as a Bio major always cooped up in the science building and only ever around other bio majors, I didn't even know the business school existed at my college at the time.
