I feel one of my strongest extracurricular activities is my involvement with an Organ Procurement Organization. I perform medical chart reviews, and then of course recover tissue such as corneas, heart valves, and long bones from donors. Is anyone else out there involved in the world of organ/tissue donation? Do you think it helped your during the application process or in med school?
