When did you submit your apps to TMDSAS? I submitted mine on 08/03 and still waiting for them to send my apps out to the schools. 😕

It took them exactly a month. I submitted on 7/27. It's absolutely ridiculous, but at least they don't rape your wallet like AADSAS.

Interesting. I accepted via the BAMF system they use for the supplemental app. All electronic, I like....

Well that's news then. Baylor is now sending interview invites via email! Just out of curiosity I check my BAMF account and there was an interview RSVP form already filled out for me. I figured they'd be making that transition soon...

On another note, is Houston dead? Has anyone heard from them lately?

I don't think anyone knows. I looked on predents and a few more people listed interviews with them. Hopefully we will hear from them soon. :xf:

LOL. UTDB is NOT dead. I think the school already has 2 rounds of interviews and the last one was held on Monday, August 31st? The admissions and staff are reviewing your applications so just bear with them! 🙂
 
wow that is surprising to see baylor has switched to email invites, i'd like one to houston and sa please! still eagerly waiting, but trying not to be on sdn so much since it drives me nuts 🙂
 
Are any of you guys OOS and applied to Baylor? If so have u gotten any updates from them at all?..also for those of you getting interview invites...do u first get an email and then a form to fill out on BAMF?....thanks and congrats to all of you who have gotten invites!!

I got an invite through the mail and through email. I then filled out a thing online that reserved my interview.
 
hey guys i have a question, i just recently retook the DAT sept 5th (20aa, 21ts, 19pat) which is a improvement from my DAT a year ago (18aa, 19ts, 21pat). i turned in my tmdsas app. june 16th with my old scores, and just recently took the DAT again so the scores should arrive there later this month. is there anyway i can speed this process so they can get it sooner? or would i have to just suck it up and wait... also, since i took it kind of late, would that be detrimental to their decision to give me an interview at all? btw, my gpa is 3.67, sci 3.5. thanks!

you gotta wait, but MAKE SURE to call each of the three schools and let them know that you are waiting for the new scores to be officially released, and ask them if you can send them a copy of your score report in the mean time. I think baylor should me ok with this, don't know about UT.

Mantraman gave you great advice. I'll add my experience to it.

App sent to schools on 6/10. Retook DAT on 8/8. Faxed scores to schools on 8/10. Official scores sent to schools on 8/19. Invited to interview at Baylor on 8/19. Still haven't heard anything from SA or Houston.

I think you should still be able to get a pre-december interview. Especially with Baylor as they seem to make their decisions quicker. Good luck!
 
thanks guys, i just called baylor and they said its OK to fax the scores, but UTDB said thats not recommended at all.

Crap, I faxed UTDB my scores. I hope they're not annoyed by that! I figured they could just trash it if they didn't want them.

im sure its not a big deal, the worst they can do is just trash it or put it in your file anyways
 
I submitted my tmdsas on 8/17. when should i expect to hear from schools?

anyone else in the same boat and heard something yet?

it usually takes about a month to process and what not, so i would say give or take about a month.
 
called SA today and they said its OK to fax the scores to their school. so baylor and SA says we can fax our unofficial scores while we wait while houston says not to.
 
Does any one know how important are the questions about:
"Overcame or is experiencing extreme hardship"
"Other adverse circumstances"

Do we have to write anything here? Does it look bad if I don't.
To me this is the same stuff you have in PS and optional essays.

I think if you have something meaningful to put, go at it. if not its fine to leave it blank. i left it blank.

Well I have something to put, but it will be just repition from Personal statement and optional essay.So I am not sure what do do.

BTW how many characters we are allowed to write? The prompt does not say anything.
 
i know we've had a few ppl that have gone on interviews already, I remember I saw a post from someone who went to their baylor interview alraedy- i wanted to reread their feedback, anyone know which page that was on. i think my eyes are going nuts on me. thanks in advance.

I'm happy for y'all that are getting interview letters (and for those that haven't I'm sure they'll come). I'm at baylor right now and it seems that they give you all the tour of the building around our lunch time since my friends and I usually see a group of black suits/dresses walking by in a herd.

I guess I just wanted to say I was in your shoes exactly this time last year it's amazing how fast it goes by and to wish you all luck for this cycle. December first will be here sooner than you know it!

TMDSAS verified and sent application out 8/31
UTHSC-SA received application on 9/4
UTHSC-SA offered an interview on 9/11
UTHSC-SA offered an interview for 10/5/09

Anyone going to be at the San Antonio interview on the 5th of October?

Now, waiting on Houston, anyone here from them recently?

Also, I received confirmation from UTDB-Houston and UTHSC-SA that they have received my application, but Baylor has not emailed me anything about my application or even receiving it. I am also checking the BAMF site and I have sent and completed the Identity Form and the Secondary Application, but nothing is updated. Should I call and ask?
 
congrats le! i think you should just wait a little, you have just submitted your app not that long ago. soon more will come!!!

And to all the Baylor interviewees for the next coming weeks, don't stress about the interview. 😛 Super laid back, and everyone is so genuinely nice! PM me if you have any questions or need advice 🙂

I remember I was so nervous for my baylor interview (almost cried because I didn't want to do it!) but all that worrying was for naught! That interview was so chill and laid back I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be a barrage of questions followed by whatever answers I thought up. But it was actually a conversation. If you can just be personable and have a decent conversation I think you'll be just fine. Your application got you the interview, your personality is what'll get you in. Just pay attention and be polite don't suck up or anything like that. I remember there being a couple of guys that just hung off over everything dr. miller was saying and I didn't see them during orientation (who knows they could've gotten in somewhere else).

First year is going great! I don't regret my decision, the professors go out of their way to make us laugh/smile to help lighten our load prime example one of our professors bust out his guitar and started singing his own made-up lyrics to a song (I forgot which) during a wax up in dental anatomy lab, my classmates are all amazing ie: we all send each other links and helpful study guides to the whole class for quizzes and reviews. I won't lie the work load is getting heavier and heavier as the weeks go by but it's not so bad when you know everyone else is going through the same thing.

Sorry for the essay! I was just trying to reply to your post in a way I would've appreciated someone doing it for me when I was interviewing.

Thanks a lot for giving us an essay! It definently helps because I feel anxious and excited at the same time. Glad to hear you are enjoying your time there 🙂

well SA has had my app since August 4th. I'm assuming I'm probably not going to get an interview from them at this point. Has anyone heard back from Houston?

SA sent me an email that they got my app two weeks later and i already have an interview for early oct. good luck though

I'm in the same boat. They've had mine since July 31st. My hopes are pretty much dwindling :/

Same here, except I'm opposite yall. I've heard from SA, but I haven't gotten anything from baylor and they've had mines since 7/31 too. I'm guessing baylor doesn't like that i'm a nonscience major???
