on my homepage of my application, next to Test Scores, it shows yes. But I can't see my actual score.
I checked just now and mine have updated to the 'yes' status as well.
My committee packet hasn't been received yet, but it is showing that they have my MCAT. How many of you have submitted your apps already? I should be done in the next few days after I have someone read over my PS.

mine has. 🙂 they can take forever if you don't do it early.
i submitted mine 6/2/09 and they still haven't received my payment. 😡
I just submitted mine on the 4th and mailed out payment yesterday, the 5th. I was surprised to see that they didn't accept credit cards... texas can be so primitive lol
they were supposed to accept credit cards this cycle. I talked to TMDSAS over the phone and the lady said they "ran into trouble." seems to be a recurring theme with them 🙁
On another note, is anyone else having trouble logging in to the A&M secondary website?
Wow! I didn't realize that they were processing so quickly. I thought it would take at least 3 weeks. Good to know.. I'm submitting my AMCAS today.
Interfolio has also received all of my transcripts, but it indicates 'no' for transcripts in the summary as well.

that is because he/she submitted it 6/2. I submitted my AMCAS 6/3 in the morning and it still says "Ready for Review". I had my scores, transcripts, and LOR sent in May. So it might take you awhile if you submit AMCAS today.
i'm running into a problem. on the questions section, it says 23 of 24 completed (and hence won't let me submit), but I counted the fields and there are only 23 fields to complete!
Does anyone else have this problem?
My 23 fields, just for reference, are, in order: Contact Info, Demographic, Personal, Photograph, Socioeconomic, Financial, Childhood, Private and Military, Family Info, Siblings, Proof of Residency, High School, Colleges and Coursework, Academic Recognition, College Leadership, Employment, Research Activities, Healthcare Activities, Community Service, Extracurricular/Leisure Activities, Medical, Unique Experience (Optional), and Personal Characteristics (Optional).
What field, if any, am I missing that everyone else has?! I can't think of what I'm missing...

Nola- I was submitting a packet instead of two letters, and I had created the form already...but nevertheless, I created the interfolio form again (now two copies of it show up in my requests...which might create a problem later, but who knows?) and it became 24!

Here's a small issue I ran into: If you have worked at one or more jobs within a hospital, and consider that a Healthcare Experience, do you list this under both sections (Work, Healthcare Experiences) or just under Work?
Also, what are you all doing for the activities if they aren't weekly? Most of my shadowing and volunteering wasn't per week. More like once or twice a month or semester. Do you average it out or just put the number of hours you spent at that activity on average, then explain in the description?
By the way, Character Limit on Title of Awards ----> Ridiculous

I averaged. If I did 30 hours of volunteer work in a semester, I'd say I did something like 1.5hrs per week => 6hrs per month => 24-30 hrs a semester. They allow you to put in the cumulative amount of hours for that time period, which is a great improvement over the old TMDSAS which was hrs/week/month.
It's really hard to do anything consistently when you work and go to school full time, do a research project lasting a few years, have to take care of sickened family members, study, etc. etc. And I honestly doubt they they'd expect you to do volunteer/EC's super-consistently.
I would put them under work and healthcare. I met with Dr. Kellaway at UT Houston in April, and she instructed that overlapping is ok and recommended. So if something I did falls under healthcare, leadership, and work, I put the same entry in each category. The only slight difference is that I'd vary the description to emphasize the category.
***For activities that aren't weekly, I did exactly what Vanguard recommends.
and yes... the character limit is rediculous.
I'm also having trouble logging in to the secondary. I'm going to e-mail them and contact them by phone tomorrow morning regarding this. Maybe their systems are down.

My health professions director informed me today that the apps will be submitted to the schools beginning June 15th.
No prob... btw... interfolio will send your recommendation letters to TMDSAS.

I'm unable to load my photo, it's only 65Kb, but it says 'There was a problem loading your photo.' Anyone else have the same problem?

Hey when I wanted to hit the submit and pay bottum eariler today, I was unable to do so. I CANT submit my tmdsas application ! Does anyone have the same problem? Help!

is there a seperate tmdsas transcript form like there is one for amcas or do we just send it to interfolio?
i found the page that explains it but cant find the request form does anyone know where this is? and also, did any of you request the trascript to be sent to you and then you sent it to tmdsas with the request form?)

If you go to the home page of the application after you login, there is a section titled 'application progress'. Under this section is the 'request transcripts' icon. Make sure that you have already added your institution under Education, otherwise you won't be able to make a transcript request. TMDSAS instructions indicate that this form in mandatory and must accompany the transcripts. The form has a special code and barcode.
***also, the transcripts are going to Interfolio, along with the form. Interfolio will accept official transcripts issued to students. So you can have the transcripts sent to you and send it to Interfolio with the form. However, you must not open the transcript. Interfolio will not accept opened transcripts from students. I personally think it would be faster to have your school send them. I had transcripts sent from 4 institutions and each of them had them mailed out within a couple of days.

the problem is its not there..even though i have already entered my school info..maybe i will go ahead and order my transcripts and when i figure it out..i can print it and send it rushed..

the transcript thing is happening to me too!!
any OOS perm residents applying to TTech in El Paso..they said you can only apply if you are texas residents im so sad..im gonna call tom. but do any of you know?

is anyone having problems with viewing one or more of their undergraduate schools and the coursework you entered for that school?? i had two undergrads listed and when i view the PDF application summary, only one of the schools is listed, the other school and its coursework arent on the app summary.

TMDSAS has received all of my transcripts, but says 'NO' for transcripts. On the home page, the transcript issue is listed as one of the things that they are aware of and trying to resolve.
I also have this same issue with the PDF... it's another issue that TMDSAS has acknowledged on their home page and are working to resolve... I hate that they're working out all of their glitches on us!
My MCAT scores aren't on the app. It just acknowledges that it's received.
The registrar from my school told me that they sent my transcript last thursday... but Interfolio still haven't received it. Does anyone know how long it will take them to "recieve" it? I'm worrying that it's lost in the mail ; ;

you'll get a mail first from interfolio saying that they have received it. So if it was sent out last thursday, give it one or two days to see if interfolio sends you an email. If not, ask your school to resend it.
I saw that TMDSAS also calculates your nonscience GPA as opposed to your science and cumulative GPA. I am a bit concerned because my nonscience GPA is a 3.3 and only consists of 13 hours compared to my science and cumulative GPA that are 3.5. I thought schools only looked at your science and cumulative GPA. Will my low nonscience GPA have any effect on my competitiveness for Texas schools?
I am in a personal debate about the optional essays on the application. I don't feel like I have anything profound to say but I could probably figure something out for the personal characteristics essay. Should I do both, one, none?

Do however many you have reasonable stuff for; i.e. if you have something you want to discuss that you didn't have room for on the personal statement, or was not mentioned and is pertinent, go ahead and write one. If you have something for the other write that one as well, but don't write them just to have extra things.
Many people use the unique circumstances essay to address weaknesses in their application, along the lines of, "I had a terrible freshman year because I was boozing it up all the time, but I've since become legal and it's no longer as fun, so it's not a problem", or some variant thereof. Personal characteristics can almost be thought of as an extension to the Personal statement that is broader (slightly) in scope.
It took a little under two weeks from when my registrars mailed them before interfolio acknowledged them as received. Maybe more like a week and a half now that I think about it.
Ya I'm working on my secondaries. I know I should take them seriously.... but I just can't focus because I just submitted my TMDSAS and is trying to cut myself so slack....... I'm also studying for MCAT >.<
In my opinion, the only secondary that's easy is UTSW.... TTU and A&M ask weird question that I really need to "think" to make up a good response. Anyone know how long do those essays have to be? UTSW has a limit of 500 words, TTU and A&M didn't specify.
Also if any of you have spare time, please feel free to comment on my MDApps.

Do you think it's okay to go ahead and submit if your application still has some of the 'glitches' listed on the main page, ie terms listed multiple times, etc. I guess they will fix this on their own, but I'm hesitant to hit the button...
