my check's been cashed as of 6/17 and my transcripts/LOR/DAT have all been processed and approved and my app still hasn't been sent to the schools 🙁

yeah it is super frustrating but my check was received on 6/15 and they finally sent my applications to the schools today. Hopefully yours will be out in the next 2 days

You are able to make changes to the following sections yourself by logging back on to the application: Contact Info, Colleges Attended, College Coursework, Planned Enrollment, My Account and Test Scores.

Anybody had recent transmission of their app to schools?

I submitted my app and payment a few days before you did and got the app transmitted last monday. So depending on when your fee was received it should take 4-6 weeks from that date

Hey guys, how long did it take for them to receive your LOE? I had Interfolio send them the HPO Packet a few days ago. And also, TMDSAS application required for me to make a separate request form for the practicing dentist even though it will be a part of my HPO Packet. Will this be a problem?

And one more question, I applied last year to the three in Texas and had my DAT scores released to those schools last year. Do I have to rerelease the scores this year? I have been told no but the TMDSAS has a status of not received for my DAT scores.

Mines took about a month to process so you will have to wait for them to process it.

I heard back from S.A. today for an interview. However, I have friends that heard back from Baylor last Friday. I applied several weeks before them and have competitive credentials (AA 22, TS 21, PA 22) and a 3.75 GPA. Should I be worried? I'm thinking of giving it another week before asking them. The only reason I'm worried is because I have heard 1st hand from people who had the schools lose their application material.

Does anyone know how the email interviews get sent out? In batches?...Thanks. 🙂

When did your application go out (transmitted) from TMDSAS? Man, I wish I was done with my DAT so I could be waiting for that interview 🙁 It seems like the more I study bio, the more I forget about ochem and chem. I need to get this stupid test out of the way!

Yeah, it might be cause your DAT score is too low...oh, and the fact that your dad is the president of the ADA. lol

I would just call and make sure that the schools have everything for them to review your application.

Thanks Alan. No I am an engineering major and a post-bacc. I graduated in 2004 and came back to do my pre-reqs before applying. I may call today to see. Will keep everyone updated.

BTW, if we don't get an interview, do we get an official rejection as well? Email or snail mail? Thanks.

Baylor likes applicants with a lot of upper level sciences (especially bio). That could be the reason. Feel free to call and talk to Janet, she's very helpful.

It's still way too early to be talking rejections. I think the first rejections last year were sent out in Dec. after Dec. 1st acceptances. You never know what could happen. Good luck!

Oh, darn it! 😡 I knew it. My dad is a major loser. If only he could have been someone important (and by important, I mean someone who could heal cancer with their nonexistent tears) like Chuck Norris. That's it. If I don't get in this cycle, I'm claiming Ricky Martin as my father. He must have fathered, like, 20,000 children. No one will ever know.

I really hope they haven't implemented a cutoff. I did the point formula thing and I place about even with a person with a 3.6/3.5 19.

I'll give them in a call in a week. I'm scared of making them mad. 🙁

As you predicted, non-traditionals like me get pushed back to October interviews because we don't have as much biology and they like to group us with people in our own age/experience range. =\ Thanks for the help.

Are you saying that Baylor groups their interview groups by types of applicants? (ex: post baccs, career changers, etc) If so that is very interesting because I've never heard anything like this before. I am also a non traditional post bacc and I'm feel a little anxious not hearing back when others have.

Transmitted is processed and sent. TMDSAS App is alittle different than out of state aadsas.

DAT: 22TS, 21AA, 19PA
and GPA
Overall GPA: 3.90
Undergrad GPA: 3.90
Undergrad Science GPA: 3.93

Should I be worried that it takes so long and call them to make sure you don't need any additional documents from me? 😕

Hmm I am Texas resident so I did it through TMDSAS and on there it says my application was transmitted (showing application has been sent to at least on school when I put my curser on it) to schools on 6/11.

I was talking about UTHSCSA earlier that I emailed them asking if they got my application and they said they did (I just wanted to make sure). Also I received an email from Baylor today that they have received my application also. No words from Houston though.

yeah i know. i had a couple of friends who received interviews to SA but the school didn't send them an email saying they received their app. But they called the school and the school told them that their app is already received on a certain date....so i guess if the schools haven't sent you anything yet it wouldn't hurt to call them

Out of curiosity, do you have the bare minimum requirements? Or do you have more biologys than the required 14 hours?

No I don't have the bare minimum for biology hours, I actually probably have more hours than most people haha. I graduated with a degree in bio, didnt do so hot so now I'm in a post-bacc program where I'm taking only upper div bio courses. I guess I'm a slightly different non traditional student from career changers so I wonder how I would be grouped. I do know Baylor is more open minded towards non trad and will look very favorably on high trends.

I haven't heard anything but I did meet a guy that received an interview invite from Houston last friday (7/30) I don't know his stats or anything but that seems surprisingly early for houston..

Yes, But they won't process your application until they recieve your money order.

I think you're referring to the CHRONOLOGY OF ACTIVITIES, which is compiled automatically for you from all the activity sections (Volunteer, work, school...). What it means is that you cannot have a gap of 3 months of doing nothing. You must have an activity to fill that gap.
