so is Houston sending out emails in the morning? and if we haven't heard from San Antonio or Baylor by now...does that mean we didn't get in?

Congrats everyone! I am a Baylor student and can only say positive things so far. My only suggestion to y'all is to enjoy your last semester, relax and do all the things you want to because once dental school begins you will have limited time to do the things you want....and ohh how you will "love" gross lab...hehhe
 
UTHSCSA! I told you, you take me in, I love you long time. You take-ed me in, so I love you long time. I really love you. I will put a picture of you and hang it above my bed. A million pounds off my back. Had my interview two days ago...must have nailed it. Or they sent me my acceptance by mistake. I'm kinda scared it's the latter. Everyone tell me I'm not mistaken. :scared::scared::scared:🙁

@Txlonghorn It's been a long time coming, buddy. We've caused a lot of trouble on these boards. Pushed a lot of buttons. Crossed a lot of lines. Well, you did. I just stood by watching innocently. You're corrupting me!

zade, hgdoan, and mmu4487 - shame on y'all 😉 I guess I'm another guilty one who's on here instead of studying for PE.

Congrats guys!! And as mmu4487 said, for those who did not hear any good news tonight, don't stress out too much over it. There's still plenty of time to get in this cycle. My "Dec. 1st" was even later (mid-May), so don't give up hope!

Try studying for a final that is tomorrow. The best part is that I still need to go through 500 slides. lol
 
So is that it for Baylor? I was really expecting an offer from them, and I can't see why they wouldn't give me an offer. My app is pretty solid in terms of numbers, courses, shadowing, etc... and the only thing I can think of is having only 2 years of undergrad under my belt (graduating in 3 years). I don't see how that could be a big turn off or disadvantage for me either. Any ideas my fellow Texans?

Baylor's philosophy is very different. They prefer heavy science load, and that you stay enrolled in your undergrad all the way until DS starts.
 
I interviewed at San Antonio on November 8th. Does everyone who has interviewed receive some sort of response exactly on December 1st? (Such as acceptance, wait list, or rejection). Or are only immediate acceptances sent out on December 1st? DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THIS WORKS?

check predents if you'd like to analyze interview dates/acceptances

But I doubt that all those who interviewed just recently will get immediate response. Be patient if you had a late interview, I'm sure it'll come through.

I am a biology major, chemistry minor. Started undergrad Fall 2008, graduating May 2011. I would think I have a heavy science load (4+ sciences a semester), and I'm staying in undergrad all the way until DS starts. Now what?
 
WIth your numbers and the amount of interviews why would you even worry? You'll be fine. You're standard deviations above most average accepted applicants.

I need an affordable school near home to fall back upon. It worries me because my app is very strong IMO, and to not have an offer means I did something wrong. I need to know what that "wrong" might be...
