23AA/ 23TS/ 21 PAT/ 23 RC and nothing below 21. I have a 3.9 GPA (3.85 sGPA). I have done close to 300 hours of volunteer work at Methodist, and have a little more than 200 hours of shadowing. I applied in May, but didn't get my current scores in until september.

Hmm. I can't see why you didn't get the other two interviews. I did not get an interview from San Antonio and Houston gave me an interview post December. I am sure Houston will give you one soon. Do you think there is any red flags in your apps? I am not sure, but I think Houston look into leaderships, etc.

Not any that I know of.
 
Has anyone received a scholarship from Houston yet? I've heard back from Baylor and San Antonio, not sure if Houston even sends them out?

They don't give scholarships until after first year of dental school. So you may not get it at all.
 
Which school is everyone placing their deposit on this month? Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston?
 
Soooooo, does anyone else who has already been accepted also feel this sense of emptiness? I suppose that during the years of hardcore studying and absolute misery, I never imagined what it would be like to actually achieve my one life goal, and so now I'm stuck in pre-dental school limbo. This is a truly stupid feeling to be feeling.

Oh well. We're all going to be dentists in 4.5 years! Hang in there if you're still waiting! And if you're going to UTSD, see you at orientation in August!

After the hardest decision making month full of roller coaster thoughts/emotions, I am declining San Antonio, Columbia, Baylor, and Penn (unless I hear of max scholarship in the next 2 weeks) and am sending my letter of intent to UTSD Houston today!
Good luck to everyone still waiting - there is still SO much time for things to happen! I hope that my spots in the other TX schools will be given to some of you great and deserving people!
Can't wait to meet everyone at Houston!

I am sure whichever school you will be attending to will be good! All of them are great schools!
 
Anyone know when the next round of acceptance for houston? For those that interviewed on December. I remember reading someone said jan 1st and continues from there. Any date we should look at in particular?

Late Jan/ Early Feb
 
BabyShades- don't get too focused on a specific date because if you don't hear anything by that date it could be just as disappointing as not hearing anything on Dec. 1. Just tell yourself sometime in January or February you'll hear something!

I was told late January as well...a few of my friends that interviewed post-december last year didn't hear back until April, May and even July. So I guess we'll just have to be patient even if we don't hear anything in late January. We'll get a letter eventually - whether it be acceptance, alternate list, or rejection lol.
 
Last year I interviewed with Houston on Dec. 17th and didn't hear back until March 13th. It may take longer than you expect so just stay patient and try not to drive yourself crazy! Last year things also got postponed a little because of bad weather around this time so it could very well be earlier this year than last year... Just stay positive and know it's not over until it's over! I'd love to answer any questions so feel free to message me! 🙂 Good luck, y'all!
 
Got acceptance letter from LECOM. I guess I need to be thankful
Heart still stuck with TX schools and Baylor! No interview call so far from any Tx school. I have had 4 interviews all OOS and 3 acceptances all OOS! Wonder why TX schools are not even interviewing.
 
Any updates from Dr. Pierpont from anyone that interviewed recently?
 
Dr. Pierpont couldn't make it on Tuesday, but from what Dr. Galindo explained to us we shouldn't be expecting any offers to come out until at least late January/ early February. There are only 3 more interview sessions left btw.
 
NYU came thru.. Expensive. Now LECOM & NYU

Still waiting on TX interviews..Cmon Y'all!
 
2 more interviews dates left for UTHSCSA and UTSD. Not too sure about Baylor. Good luck guys!

SA is the two upcoming mondays. I would bet they have already sent out those invitations, they give almost a month notice for the interview.
 
I am pretty sure that is the reason why almost all schools will be sending out more acceptances at the end of Jan. and beginning of Feb. By that time, all the schools should be done interviewing.

It's not over! Let's keep everyone updated with acceptances/rejections/waitlisted. Especially at the end of January and beginning of February!

UTHSCSA acceptance 12am email. Interviewed Dec 8th.
 
Today was the last day of interviews at UTSD...we could be hearing back any day now...
 
Anybody hear from Houston???!!!!

Were rejections sent via email or snail mail?

Oh got cha! I feel that the time you interviewed, they will out more acceptances for yours and some people for post-December on feb 10th. As for everyone else that interviewed and haven't heard back and interviewed early December or before, they will probably send them more on March. Not too sure though!
