No word, I was really hoping to hear something last week. I really hope to hear something this week so I don't have to pay another $1000 deposit to Pitt x___x
😱 I really don't understand why deposits are 1000$+ who has that kind of money sitting around?
I really hope you hear good news soon 🙁

You just literally repeat what my mom said!!!
We're too poor. Why can't the deposit is a pizza or a donut sent to Adcoms office. Idk, just throwing ideas out there.

I support this movement. I mean a small deposit is fine. But gosh, if you want that kind of money they need to wait for people's loans to come in!

I hope so... why did the new building have to be built this year! That's what making the acceptance rate so high this year compared to the years before :\
that's exactly what i was thinking !! im getting impatient too, but your stat is great, you will get in somewhere ! Ive seen applicants with average stat and not so glamorous resume got into schools here in TX and OOS ; you have a great chance !

Has anyone called San Antonio and/or Houston? Would that seem pushy?

I e-mailed Dr. Galindo last week but she was gone and did not return to the office until this past Monday. She still hasn't replied to my e-mail. 100% tempted to e-mail again but that would seem crazy haha if you call, let me know how it goes.

Has anyone spoken to Baylor? Are there going to be more acceptances sent out in the near future?

Not entirely sure about GPA but it's around a 3.5, 23 AA, 16 PAT, can't remember the rest. lol...
She didn't do a post bac after graduating in Dec 2014. She only took 1-2 classes a semester while doing research at the dental school.

Congrats to y'all!

I thought 17 in any area was the cutoff though?

Does anyone know if the entering class for the Fall of 2016 at UTSD Houston has to take any summer classes this coming summer? Just trying to get my summer plans straight. On the calendar it says D1 starts school on May 31 but I'm assuming that means the class of 2019.

Thank you!

Incoming D1's start in august at UTSD.

Yeah we do. Because UTHSCSA likes to torture their D1's. That's such a long semester...

I'm sure SA is a great school but I have read AND heard many stories about the negatives of SA. Do you know what else they offer that is so different to Houston and Baylor besides the early start times?

Oh yeah they're great. If I didn't get into Baylor I would definitely be going there. The thing I liked the most was the Japanese exchange program and the selectives. They get the opportunity to place implants as D4's (Baylor D4's don't). They also have selectives geared towards a career in academic dentistry which was also interesting to me.

I feel like with selectives you can customize your education to what you want to do post-grad.

Oh that's very neat! Didn't even know they had something like that. Can you speak Japanese?
