TMDSAS and May MCAT

I'm currently studying for a late-April MCAT, but I think I could use a little extra time. I know I can submit my TMDSAS before getting scores back, but it also seems that Texas schools start looking and applications by mid-June.

If I take the May 12th MCAT (with June 12th score release), would I still be in the first batch? I realize mid-June is plenty early for AMCAS, but the Texas schools seem to be on a faster pace.

My university didn't upload my letters of rec until the end of June and I interviewed on the first or second day at every school I applied to so I would say you are probably fine. Get your application in as soon as possible though (May) and then just send your MCAT score when you get it. I think they can go ahead and verify your app without the MCAT score, so you should be good to go as soon as your score comes in.

They do have a spot for future test dates. So score release on June 12th (+ few days for them to receive them), won't be a big issue?

I took my exam May 1st (June 1st scores) and I don't think it hurt me. I waited to actually submit until after I received my scores, but in the mean time you can complete the application. I don't think I got my first invite to a Texas school until the first week or so of August, and I attending the first interview day at all of the Texas schools I interviewed at.
