hey; couple of questions.
if i got AP credit for a course i took again in college do i say that i retook it on the line where it asks if this is the last time i took the course?
second, in terms of transcripts. how many do i send to tmdsas and where do i send them and do i include anything with them?
thanks so much.
I sent mine to the address at the bottom of their intro screen:
Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service
702 Colorado Street, Suite 6.400 | Austin, Texas 78701
You will eventually need to send pictures and your application fee, but they don't have to accompany the transcripts.
Here's the TMDSAS Statement on transcripts (Abridged):
b. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS: Official college transcript(s) of ALL attempted coursework must be submitted to TMDSAS directly from EACH academic institution attended (DO NOT send these transcripts to the individual schools).
The applicant must contact each college/university ever attended to request that an official transcript be sent directly to TMDSAS.
Only ONE transcript from EACH school attended is required. Transcripts released to students are considered official ONLY if they have been duly sealed and certified as original and valid by the originating matriculant's registrar. Photocopies or faxed copies are NOT considered official and will NOT be accepted.
*NOTE - Grades MUST BE REPORTED for courses taken during the spring semester of the application cycle BEFORE YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION.
Applications WILL NOT be processed until spring grades are posted.
Note: Transcripts sent to TMDSAS remain the property of TMDSAS. Transcripts are not forwarded to the medical, dental or veterinary schools. The transcripts are used by TMDSAS to validate coursework listed on the Record of College Work. If accepted by a medical, dental or veterinary school, applicants will be required to send transcripts to the accepting school before matriculation.
