Slightly confused about the letters of rec on the TMDSAS medical school application. I am just looking into this application for the first time to familiarize myself with it prior to the opening of application season. My question..

How many letters of recommendation can we have on TMDSAS total? (2 science/math professors + 1 other professor.... can there be other letters from supervisors of our job? If so, how many and how are they submitted?)

According to TMDSAS, 3 letters are required and 1 additional can be submitted as well. It says any letters past the 4 must be submitted to the schools directly and to check each school to see if they will even accept them.

There are two TMDSAS options for your letters. You can either get a committee packet from your school or get your letters from 3 individuals. TMDSAS has a portal that lets people upload your letters and there's another online option for submission too. I'm pretty sure I've heard that a lot of Texas schools prefer the committee packet option if your school offers it.
