My question is simple-

How disadvantageous is it for an applicant to submit their application in mid-June as opposed to May? Assume all LORs and MCAT scores are submitted along with primary app.

Thanks,

Not as disadvantageous as submitting an application that seems rushed or is missing key publications/recommendations/etc... (whatever you are waiting on to submit).

It's not like you are waiting until October or something. Submit as soon as you feel ready and your application is the best that it will be.

You'll be fine! I submitted June 1 and was in the first few batches of II at all schools that I received one. I will say that being in the first batch of II at TX schools made my interview season very relaxed because most schools start interviewing in early August. I was able to interview at all my schools (6) before my first round of exams. If you start prepping your app now, you'll be so thankful in July when all the II start coming out and everyone starts posting on SDN. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for this!
One of my letter writers is out of town and will not return back until mid-late May, after which they will compose the LOR. It does delay things but there's nothing I can do about that.
Glad to hear you interviewed with the first batch of people with June submission!!

You will be fine. Even without the LOR, you can still submit your app, get processed, receive secondaries, etc, so you should definitely not be held back. I also applied to June and it didn't hinder me. Make sure you send your official transcripts ASAP after your spring grades are available, because you application can't be verified without them.
