Hi I prematched to A&M, but McGovern was my first choice. When I logged on to TMDSAS today, I matched to A&M. It said nothing about being waitlisted at McGovern. Am I automatically waitlisted at McGovern/how likely is it that people get off the waitlist? I interviewed at McGovern in October (508/3.7). Thank you in advance!

I believe they email you later on to tell you that you're on the waitlist! You got into an amazing school, enjoy the day!

Each Texas school does it a little differently. At some, everyone who didn't match goes on the waitlist, while others select a shorter alternate list. You will probably receive an email in the next few days notifying you of your status. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with McGovern's usual method in this regard. Check out some prior year threads for more information if you don't want to wait for email notification.

Does anyone know any info on Long or UTRGV?
UTRGV oddly enough placed many applicants on their "WaitList" long before match day! Now that match day has passed, I assume that if you didn't match you are still on that wait list.
Long School of Medicine historically has sent out wait list notifications towards the end of February.

I was waitlisted in a “Very Favorable Spot” for UTRGV Pre-match, but I think they sent that to everyone waitlisted.

Does Long waitlist everyone not accepted or do they have a specified waitlist?

If you did not interview at a school, are you automatically put on its waitlist or are you are you automatically rejected? Hard for me to see how you get an acceptance without being interviewed; thus, while ranking for match is nice, I would think ranking a school where you were not interviewed is fruitless. True?

I believe it is an immediate reject from any school that was not ranked, which would include any schools at which you did not interview.

Waiting on UTSW, UTMB and UTH movement :c

You cannot be on a wait list for schools where you did not interview, and in fact when you go online to make your rank list for the match, only the schools where you interviewed can be selected.
