Does this description of my political science thesis make sense? Does it have the appropriate level of detail for the activity description box in amcas?

"Conducted a longitudinal multivariate regression analysis to determine the relationship between multinational corporations' foreign direct investment in developing nations and the level of respect for human rights in those nations."

I've read this sentence too many times and I can't figure out whether it's intelligible.

Sure... it makes sense. I get what you're saying and it seems to me it would fit the level of detail for a basic description of the paper. Was it an entirely archive study? It appears likely to have been archival so if you actually did a more pseudoexperimental design of sorts (by visiting the countries and conducting the actual research, etc.), I would highlight that. Was your thesis meta-analytic? If so, you should highlight that as well.

I'm not familiar with the term "archival" in this context, but if you're asking if I relied on existing data sets rather than conducting the actual research, then yes.

I just had to look up meta-analysis, so no, it was not meta-analytic 😛. I'd better refresh my statistical vocabulary if I'm not going to look like an idiot in interviews! Thanks for your input, apumic.

of course. you might want to drop it by the clin psych PhD forum and ask people there to tear it up for you a bit if you want to be strong talking about it in interviews. it's obviously not their field, but you'd find a lot of researchers there who might know the questions that would be asked of you.
