what is considered "late" for applying to aadsas? i have my online application complete, im just concentrating on my personnal statement. thanks guys

APPLY EARLY - I cannot stress this enough! Get that PS done - and e-submit your application ASAP. This is just what I've heard from SDN'ers and friends. Late for applying is considered not applying early!

Put it this way - today is July 6th. For you, applying today would be early. Tommorow would be a little late. And everyday after that would be getting later and later, and exponentialy worser and worser (is that a word - i don't thinks so )

Get that PS done! Tell them why you want a dam dental education!

natroncb, is that really true? that they send them out in bunches and if you submit it after they send out the first pack, then you gotta wait another month?!

for me also.. my application is almost complete except I am having trouble writing my PS... help?

That's nice to hear! I sent mine in yesterday... and im hoping it goes with the first group out... my transcripts are in along with a couple LORs... PLEASE LET THEM VERIFY QUICKLY!!!! 😱

first of all, I dont work at aadsas so I am just going off what I hear. BUT...applications have been finished by many people (myself included) for quite some time and they have been sitting at aadsas waiting to be mailed. Most likely for a bulk rate. I believe that aadsas will mail all of them at once and then start a pile for the next round. So I personally would want to get mine in this week to make the first round.

Overall though you may still be in the first round of school interviews if you dont get it in for this aadsas round, because I heard from 2 schools that said the wont even begin looking at applications until august.

That's the plan... I spent the beginning of the summer backpacking Europe, so I'm just getting around to studying for the DATs now.

Planning on taking it the 1st week of August. Need strong scores to balance out a weaker GPA.

no relax, it's not sent out in bunches by the month or anything. AADSAS sends out applications at least once every week... i got that from calling AADSAS. call them yourself for verification. 👍

The fact that they send them out in bunches is what i think is nothing more than just a rumor that has been for a while circulating around here on SDN. I would contact aadsas if you really want to know what it is they do when handling the submition of your aadsas application.

WHEW!! That's a relief... I was disappointed to see that AADSAS sent them out finally so soon after I submitted mine!
