To all of our colleagues in medical school in the Caribbean who have been affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, we have been thinking and praying for you. We have seen the devastation on our news media outlets.
The videos of Puerto Rico being struck with floods, losing electricity across the island, the tragedy in Dominica and the overall suffering the hurricanes have brought to your world are truly heart breaking.
While we do not know what is going to become of your medical school journey, many of us feel for you, hope you can recover and perhaps be the very physicians in the future that helps rebuild all of those affected individuals.
