to those of you applying this summer... have you given any thought to what you're taking in the fall? i'm thinking about taking a light course load so as not to have to worry about missing too much school for interviews (providing i get a few :xf:)

how many credit hours are you signing up for? avoiding lab courses? any advice from those who have gone through the process before?

thanks!!

Hey,
You definitely want to take a lighter load.
I was taking 15 credits in the fall and I had 6 interviews.....it got very stressful at times trying to prepare for interviews, traveling, and keeping up with school work.
Luckily I had no labs, which made it a lot easier to miss classes.
I was still able to get all As, but I would still recommend a lighter load.

I agree. Don't appear to slack if you can't afford to, but go lighter if you anticipate interviews/heavy travel in the fall (applying relatively early with a decent application). I went down to 1 lab since those are the killers if you miss. I've seen some people on here that had success with professors/lab coordinators who were accommodating to interviews. I had no such luck in that department.

I am taking a real light load 7 credit hours. I only need four more classes to graduate so I figured I would stretch it into two part time semesters and enjoy school while I can.
