Does it scream unprofessional if I were to print out the photo that's supposed to mailed in with the secondaries on regular paper from my home printer? I just don't want to wait any longer/pay more to go get a horrible passport photo taken or something...Thanks in advance for posted opinions.

I don't think it'll look that bad. It's used for identification only, right? As long as they can tell who you are. I remember I used regular paper to print out an ID photo and I ended up getting an interview... though this was for a BS/MD program.

Yes, use a photographer to take your portrait and have the photo on professional paper. Remember that there will be many attractive star quality applicants out there who are very photogenic so you want to look your best.

i printed mine on supposedly "photo paper" but i'm pretty sure it's just expensive regular paper. I stole a piece from my roommate. It's not even matte photo paper, just regular...but only a couple of my secondaries require a printed-off picture so they can just deal.

You can print a passport size photo at CVS for like 19 cents.

👍 This is what I was going to say. Definitely don't go get a professional photo taken - gigantic overkill, it's just so they remember you. But find a nice picture, crop it, and you can digitally send it to the neighborhood CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, etc. They'll cut you a real photo print in an hour for like no money at all.

wow does CVS/Walgreens/Walmart have like sites where you can upload your picture and order a print? point me to it!

I think this is sarcasm...

I have a photo printer at home, so I printed a regular picture on photo paper
