Did any of you that took the August MCAT this year think that it was:
1)Harder than previous MCATs
2)Easier
3)About the same

Although, August was my first time I dont think any of the 3 options are valid.

I mean each group that writes the MCAT in their respective seasons (April/August) is gonna say their test was very hard. Im sure similar threads to the ones right now were abound after the April session. A majority doesnt come out after the exam saying "O Yeah the test was pretty easy".

I wasnt around on this forum during April, i wonder what the general aura was then?

It was a madhouse. August takers are less um...high strung in comparison. 😀 Even two weeks after the April administration, this forum was packed...and much less organized. At least you guys don't have 8 threads all with the title "Did ayone else have form --?"

OP: I'm a retaker. My April MCAT vs. my August:
1. PS--April was harder (for me) and heavier on physics.

2. VR--about the same. But the reason I felt the need to retake was due in part to not feeling "focused" during verbal in April

3. WS--bombed one essay, nailed one essay in April. Bombed 'em both this time.

4. BS--April bio was okay; this bio sucked for me (and I kept dozing off), but the O-chem this time around was easier.

None of this really matters, mind you, because I was less stressed this time around because:
1. I brushed up on concepts in every subject I knew I needed help in

2. I had a decent April score for the schools I want to go to.

3. I had already been through it once

4. More "free" time to study, although I diidn't study nearly as much as I should have. Chances are, I'll get the same score because of this.

i dont think how they (retakers) feel matters..what matters is that insane gut feeling inside..ok well only 52 days left till scores come out

To the OP, I took my first MCAT August 2003 and in comparison I'd say that this year was much harder.
