My DAT exam is tomorrow and I haven't decided on which reading method to use yet. I've tried several methods and the results are below:

Search and destroy = 16-20pts
Vivap??? Read ? 1st = 13 doesn't work for me obviously.
Focus reading then answer: 20-23+pts and 8-9pts out of 30.

Focus on reading normally gets me high scores, but I might bomb when I've lost my focus because of stress or exhaustion or PANIC, which can result at an 8 or 9. S&D has a higher chance of scoring over 17.

Guarantee 18 avg or 20+ with risk?

How about a hybrid of both? I think your "focus" method is based primarily on the difficulty of the passage. So if you find a passage is relatively easy use your "focus" method. If after 5 minutes or less you feel fatigued,or get an extremely hard passage switch to search and destroy for that passage. If the next passage is easy go back to your focus method

Thank! That's a good suggestion. I need ppl to tell me things since my brain is nearly dead before the exam. I'll need to take today off.

Do you play any internet games? My day before the exam I played DOTA all day long.

It was great, there no better stress reliever than beating up noobs followed by lots of s*** talking.

Lol... You guys do that, too? All right, I'll go to sit at Starbucks and play game for a few hours. 🙂
