So- as far as the p/e exam on CS--- should we "talk thru it" i.e. explain to the patient what we're doing and why?

Or do we just examine silently...? If so, how does the SP check-off what we have and haven't done?

I would talk them through it and let them know what I was going to do before I did it.....not necessariuyl WHY i was doing it.....doesn't really add time and that way you're safe. Plus, I do that a lot in real life anyway.
