Hi,

I wanted to know if it is worth me traveling across the USA to update LORS that are a year old for the match this year ? I ask because there are several places I have looked at indicating they don't want the LOR to be any older than 6 months old. This isnt the case at most places, but as an IMG, I guess I want to maximize my chances as much as I can. So what would you guys do? thanks!!

Why do you have to travel across the US?

Send an email to your LOR writers. Ask for an updated letter (which only needs to have a new date on the top unless something dramatic has changed in your CV) and ask them to upload it to ERAS. The End.

Thanks for the reply gutonc. I would have to fly across the US to make sure it gets done as doing things through email does not seem to do it. I would have to follow up with secretary and all that in person which is much easier than trying to contact them on phone or email where they dont answer and dont reply to emails.
