To withdraw or not to withdraw...help please!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I wouldn't withdraw if I were you, I would try to use it as a "getting an A" class. But if you're not going to apply yourself, then yeah, a W will look better than a subpar grade because you were uninterested.

Ok. I am really having a hard time to decide whether to withdraw from this class that I took this semester just for fun and that I thought will be really interesting. The class (Hon 200~) is about the Human Mind and it involves the discussion of Steven Pinker's book "How the Mind Works".
My ultimate reason why I wanted to withdraw from the class is that I just really don't like the book that is used on the class. It doesn't interest me enough that when I'm reading it I actually don't retain most of what I've read. And understanding the book is very crucial in the class because the class works this way: the students read the assigned chapter for the week, make a 3 page summary of the chapter, and discuss the chapter in class.
Another reason why I wanted to withdraw is that I do not really need the class in the first place, and it is taking too much of my time. I'd rather focus on the classes that I need and enjoy.
I've never withdraw from a class before and I'm a senior. I guess I kinda know what to do (I really can't stand the book, just read half a chapter an hour ago) which makes this post pretty dumb but I'd really want to hear other people's opinions.

Thanks!

You've been working hard for so long, what's 1 more class?
