The ETS people send a prep cd after u register for the exams right???? I wanted to know how long it takes for us to get the cd after registering..I registered last week and am taking the exam soon...so wanted to know if I will get the cd before my exam!!!!thanx in advance....

ETS will not send any CDs. You can take the free online test given by ETS.

thanx for the info. however, I think all the tests offered there have to be purchased. I dont think any of the tests are free..can u let us know if u came across any free test on the ets site...thanx...
I also had one more question if u have taken the toefl ibt....in the reading section, can u go back to the passage and refer once u have started answering the questions???coz its really hard to retain all the info in the passage if u cant go back....

I did not know that they have stopped the free online test. Just now I went through the link.
I had taken the free online test 2 times, couple of months back though. Try searching the TOEFL iBt for free test. I just can not believe that they have stopped it! Pls make sure.
Reagrding the reading passages, of course, you can come back to view the entire passage and questions. It is too lenthy to remember.

u can buy toefl ibt cd from ebay for $20.00that is by kaplan

I never got one!! Better go to barnes and noble and buy a Kaplan book with 2 CDs. Costly but very useful. dont go unprepared. do the 4 sample tests in the CD.

thanx everybody....this thread helps people taking toefl ibt.....also some of the kaplan centers offer free toefl ibt once a week.....u can take the reading and listening.....speaking and writing not evaluated......so call the nearest kaplan center and find out.......
