Too late for to submit secondary?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Given the timeline I'm unsure of the cost-benefits. But if I were you and really didn't want to wait until next cycle I would submit.

Presumably you've already sent these schools your primary, so wether you submit the secondary or not you'll be a re-applicant next year if this cycle doesn't pan out. If you can spend the money, it seems to me that submitting at this point, although late, is the best course of action - especially given the low number of secondaries you've completed thus far. Good luck!

@gonnif would you think it would be advisable for me to do the same? I am in the opposite position, low GPA (3.2,3.2) w a masters in microbio (gGPA 3.78) and high mcat 516. I am also URM but Latino

U have a masters in straight up micro?
Do you have any upward trend?
Do you anything really outstanding?

Just to let you all know how important I think being early is worth, especially for weaker candidates where an incredibly well written, compelling secondary may be the difference between an II and rejection, I am working with clients for next cycle, where I expect MCATs by January, in order to get score, target and fully research schools, having prewritten secondaries from this years prompts all before AMCAS opens in May
Yes a non-thesis master's in microbiology. I do have an upward trend and also did some undergrad post bacc (4.0) work with my masters to try and supplement my uGPA, but only about 15-20 credits worth.

A lot of my community service and resume was catered to underrepresented populations including creating a mentorship program between URM med students and URM premeds. Also volunteered in a mobile clinic. Research is probably my weakest point in addition to the GPA.

I would have hoped with the microbio masters you had research. I dont really know enough but you probably have a couple of more weeks with “reasonable” chances at well targeted schools. But to the level of polish these secondaries need to be to make you compelling is a tough hill to climb in the time you have
Thank you for the advice! I just made a separate thread about this but is it bad that I have been sitting on a few secondaries for about a month? Specifically George Washington, FAU, FIU, Rush, and Jefferson. I've had trouble paying for them. Would it best to submit new primaries to schools and turn over those secondaries quickly or to focus on the ones I already have?
