Too late to apply if I have average matriculant stats?

Not worth it IMO. Ask yourself this, do you want to maybe squeak into a program that isn't your top choice? Or do you want to apply first day next cycle and have the opportunity to choose between a number of programs?

I agree with anatomygrey, you might be able to get in somewhere if you apply to enough schools that aren't already full or close to full, but is it worth it? Save your money and apply early next cycle. Applying early is just as important as GPA and mcat if you ask me in terms of gaining interviews. As long as mcat is good for another year I would wait.

You'll be spending a lot of money to apply, and it's pretty late in the cycle. I think you'd really have to stand out if you're just starting the game in December. My advice would be to work, save some cash for the next cycle, and focus on buffing up your app.

Agree with everyone above. It is late for DO applications. If you apply now, you're risking being a reapplicant later.

November is usually the cut off I tell people that it's the too late point.

Make sure you save everything offline, as it will not stay there for next year.

As an average applicant it wouldn't be worth it.

I myself am pretty well above average and am still quite worried as I'm racing to get secondaries in for 10-15 schools.

Also, remember, if you do become a reapplicant, you'll need to rewrite all your primary and secondary essays for next cycle.

What about the evaluations - will they stay at AACOMAS website? Thank you.
