Hi all!
I was planning on taking the MCAT in August of 2018 due to how my Graduate program worked out, and applying to only DO schools RIGHT after I get my score. However, I do not want to apply late, and the AACOMAS applications open in May. Will it be too late to apply in September, or can I apply with a "pending" MCAT score? I really don't want to take a gap year!

Thanks!

Won't be late at all. I completed my DO secondaries mid/end of October and so far have 1 acceptance and another II for January. A lot depends on your individual stats but an August MCAT shouldn't be late for DO.

EDIT: You can apply with a "pending" MCAT score. Just fill out and submit your AACOMAS, and upload your scores when they come out.

Completed my primaries in very late Sept and secondaries in October. I received acceptence. My stats were extremely competitive but I’m not sure if that really made a huge difference or not. Also took my MCAT in August.

Also, my late primaries were becuse I was initially planning on taking a gap year and applying MD and DO, but due to my age and non-trad roots, I decided to apply to some DO schools and gained acceptance and am very happy I did that
