Hello everyone,
I wanted to know if it is too late to apply this year to DO and MD schools. I expect to be done with the primary AMCAS application at the end of this week. I am unfamiliar with the application process because this is my first time applying. I have a 3.75 GPA (3.63 sci gpa), 28 MCAT (11 bio, 10 Verbal, 7 physical). Ok EC.
Am i too late? Are there any spots left or would I be wasting my money? If i have a realistic chance to get into a single school then I would go ahead with the application.

thanks for the replies so far guys. I have only shadowed an MD. will this be a problem when applying to DO schools? (I intend to apply to most schools on the eastern coast).
EDIT: And thanks for the advice to do the secondary letters prior. Thats an excellent idea and I will be sure to do that.
thanks for that. I guess i cant apply to the LECOM schools, or the Virginia schools although I was planning on doing that.
I see some schools require Dean's letter? I have never heard this was a requirement, so I do not have that. I will have to skip those schools as well...
i did not realize it was that easy to get. Thanks for the heads up, ill head over to the Dean's office as soon as i can.
At my school, a Dean's Letter was ridiculously easy to get. We have a Dean of Student Affairs or something and I just filled out a sheet with information on where to send the letter to and gave em $10. They sent a letter to PCOM basically stating that I was in good academic standing throughout my years in undergrad.
Bam. Done.

Is this the same as a letter from the prehealth committee? At our school, all the LOR were compiled along with a letter from the advisor
Basically. You can submit your committee letter instead of the Dean's Letter.
